Obituary for Patrick Daniel Hoover Sr.
Patrick Daniel Hoover, Sr., 71, husband of Jennie R. Hoover, died Friday, August 31, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.
Born December 13, 1946, in Manchester, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Vincent Hoover and the late Addie Phillips Hoover. He retired from Burgess Brogdon Building Supply and the U.S. Postal Service.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years; a son, Patrick Daniel “Danny” Hoover, Jr. of Sumter; and a granddaughter, Sarah Abbigail Hoover.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Ahtonen officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Hoover, Thomas Mayer, and James Lowery.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
