Obituary for Willis Rodgers
Willis Rodgers, 78, died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at his home.
Born February 3, 1939, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Jim Jerbey Rodgers and Callie Pritchard Rodgers. He was a retired truck driver for Old Dominion Trucking Company.
Survivors include two brothers, Franklin “Buddy” Rodgers and Robert Dean “Bobby” Rodgers (Doris) all of Sumter; a sister, Mary Lou Griffith of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Helms and Bessie Hodge.
A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday at Providence Baptist Church with Mr. Wayne McElveen officiating.
Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 2445 Old Manning Rd., Sumter, SC 29150.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
