Ralph H. Geddings, Jr., 84, husband of Brenda Kay Thigpen Geddings, died Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born October 15, 1938, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Ralph H. Geddings, Sr. and the late Adelle Morris Geddings. He was a member of Sumter First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Geddings was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and he loved to fish.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years; a daughter, Debbie Sims of Sumter; grandchildren, Michael Corbett, Kaycee Avins, A.J. Gainey, Jason Sims, and Stephanie McCormick; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Moody Geddings (Bobbie Jean) of Sumter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Geddings Gainey.

A funeral service will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday at Sumter First Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Brett Gardner and the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Burial will be in the Green Acres Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Landon Sims, Aaron Sims, Caleb Sims, Jacob Birchfield,
A.J. Gainey, and Jason Sims.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 P.M. Sunday at Sumter First Pentecostal Church and other times at the home.
