Wendy Rose Collins, 52, died Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born November 25, 1970, in Sumter, she was a daughter of Miriam Hudson Collins and the late Rev. Donnie E. Collins, Sr. She was a member of Green Acres Assembly of God.

Survivors in addition to her mother of Sumter include her daughter, Bailey Rogers (Eddie) of Sumter; three grandchildren, Sadie Rogers, Mandalyn Rogers, and Hunter Rogers; a special grandson, Chandler Powell; two sisters, Cindy Collins (Greg) and Christina Eckler both of Sumter; a special friend, Patrick Dick; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews which she dearly loved.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie E. Collins, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Green Acres Assembly of God officiated by the Rev. Michael Bowman and the Rev. Randy Collins. Burial will be in the Green Acres Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Burnish, Troy Pierson, Hudson Collins, Donnie Collins, III, Trey Thompson, and Trayton Griffin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Collins, Wyatt Collins, Chandler Powell, Hayden Collins, David “Peanut” DuBose, Jr., and John Riley Thompson.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
