Obituary for Beulah Mae Edwards Fulton (Floyd)

Beulah Mae Floyd Edwards Fulton, 86, widow of James “Jimmy” Edwards and Tommy Fulton, died Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born September 20, 1936, in Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow Jenkins Coker and the late Pearlie Mae Floyd Coker. Mrs. Fulton was a founding member of Meadowbrook Church of God and an active member for over 46 years.

Survivors include one son, H.E. Floyd (Dianne) of Pinewood; a son-in-law, Daniel Ciconte of Virginia; five grandchildren, Mark Floyd, Marty Floyd, James Ciconte, Kaitlyn Farrah Ciconte, and Suzannah Grose (Alex); and a granddaughter-in-law Alisha Ciconte. She was blessed with 6 great grandchildren, Matthew Floyd, Michael Floyd, Scarlet Grose, Madilyn Grose, Isaiah Ciconte, and Aria Ciconte. She has a brother, W.J. Coker (Christine) of Sumter; two sisters, Evelyn Brinson, and Cleo Gainey both of Sumter; and numerous nieces and nephews who were also treated as her children & grandchildren in her eyes.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Edwards Ciconte; a grandson Henry Ciconte, two sisters, Jackie Coker, and Janice Coker Lee; and two brothers, Eldridge Floyd, and Son Floyd.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Meadowbrook Church of God officiated by the Rev. Danny Watford. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Garrison Powell, Jessie Hughes, Ty Brinson, Zack Hansen, Ford Coker, and Mason McDonald.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Meadowbrook Church of God and other times at the home of Tammy Hughes, 946 Fulton St. Sumter, SC.
