Obituary for Leonard Cameron Ellis
Leonard Cameron Ellis, 69, husband of Sharon Mims Ellis, died May 4, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born May 6, 1953, in Birmingham, Alabama, he was a son of Lena Belle Camp Cook, and the late Benjamin Curtis Ellis. Mr. Ellis retired from Bilton Lincoln. He loved music and played bass guitar in several bands through the years. He was a member of the APA pool league.
Survivors in addition to his wife of forty-six years include his mother and stepfather, Charles R. Cook of Niceville, FL; two children, Jessica Ellis Fralick (Jeffrey) and Dillon Cameron Ellis (Brandi) both of Sumter; two grandchildren, Mary Ellis Fralick and Everleigh Kate Ellis; three sisters, Carolyn Rose (William) of Chattanooga, TN, Marilyn Wix (Willard) of Oklahoma, and Sharolyn Muire of Newport News, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Rev. Charles Owens.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
