Obituary for Joann Marie Kolb (Pomichalek)
Joann Marie Pomichalek Kolb, 69, wife of Richard “Ricky” D. Kolb, died Monday, February 13, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born February 3, 1954, in Smyrna, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Stephen Pomichalek and the late Mary Catherine Schmidt Pomichalek. She served more than seventeen years in the U.S. Air Force. She worked as a metal fabricator at Diebold-Sumter for several years.
Survivors in addition to her husband include one son, Craig Pomichalek (Jessica) of Sumter; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Jackson O’Roark.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Rev. Dr. David Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
