Obituary for Brenda Joyce Hensley (Maynard)
Brenda Joyce Maynard Hensley, 66, wife of Jerry Hensley, died Sunday, February 5, 2023, at her home.
Born March 11, 1956, in Pikeville, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Corbet Maynard and the late Juanita Lockhart Davidson. Mrs. Hensley was a member of Ashwood Baptist Church. She was a Registered Nurse. She served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 29 and the Post 29 Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Hensley enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Tim McDavid (Chrissy) of Georgia; three stepchildren, Terri Cheatum (Tony), Linda Garvin (Randy), and Mike Hensley (Stacey) all of Georgia; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Jeff Steen and the Rev. Mike Watson.
The family will receive friends following the service, at the graveside.
