Obituary for Sheila Benenhaley Mayberry

Sheila Benenhaley Mayberry 63, widow of James Edward Mayberry, died December 17, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born April 1, 1959, in Crowley, LA, she was the daughter of the late John Algie “Mutt” Benenhaley and Nolia Ann Perry Benenhaley.
Survivors include a son, Darrell Mathias, of Ohio, a daughter, Suzette Yost, of Sumter; a brother, Francis Benenhaley (Jodie), of Sumter, four sisters, Lettie Appleby (Danny), Pamela Holland (Sandy), Angela Witt (Darrell), all of Sumter and Dawn Luquer (Anthony), of Florida; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Debra Ann Graber; a brother, John Algie “Bubba” Benenhaley II; a brother-in-law, William Todd Mayberry; father-in-law, James Orville Mayberry; mother-in-law, Louise Lumpkin Mayberry; and two grandsons, John Thomas Yost and Tyler Keith Lohning
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, December 22, 2022, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eric Appleby, George Holland, Christopher Benenhaley, Alan Appleby, Jordan Mann, Darren Witt, and Dallas Witt.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home, and other times at the home, 5955 Squaw Valley Dr., Wedgefield, SC 29168.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
