Obituary for Marvin Daniel Bailey Jr.
Marvin Daniel Bailey, Jr., 75, husband of Catherine Carter Bailey, died Thursday, December 1, 2022, at his home.
Born March 8, 1947, in Woodstock, VA, he was a son of the late Marvin Daniel Bailey, Sr., and the late Stella Cullers Bailey. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Bailey retired as the Shipping Department Supervisor at Color-Fi after 37 years of service.
Survivors in addition to his wife of 50 years include four children, Tammy Pennington (Lee) of Texas, Sheila Stewart of Santee, Sherrie Benenhaley (David) of Dalzell, and Frankie Bailey (Susan) of OH; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Randy Bailey (Lee) of Luray, VA, and Jeff Bailey (Amy) of Stevens City, VA; one niece; and one nephew.
Services will be private.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
