An angel walking on the earth among mere mortals for 98 years, went to be with her LORD, after a very brief illness on Tuesday morning, October 25th. Also known as Ma’Ma’, Aunt Dot, Ms. Dot, and Friend, she was born in Clarendon County on October 7, 1924, to the late Harry Cuttino and Corrine Brown Pritchard. She was raised in the Paxville and Providence communities with her siblings who all predeceased her: brothers, HC, Harvey, Russell, Cecil, Richard (Linwood) and her only sister Betty Jean Smith. She was married to Fred C. Logan until his passing in 1974, and she always said that she married once for life. She was a homemaker and manager with Pioneer Dress Manufacturing until she retired.

Their beloved daughter Sandra was born on April 18, 1944, and died on March 8, 2018. Sandra married Leslie Lynn Howeth August 13, 1966, and raised 2 wonderful children, Greg and Shari Beth while making their home many places around the US, including Maui, Hawaii and lastly in Manning, SC. Sandra predeceased her mother and her husband Lynn, of 52 years, who died in 2019.

Shari has 2 daughters, Brianna Ellis and Abbigail McAleavy and a son Colton Dunn who predeceased his Ma’Ma’. Shari’s has 2 stepchildren Lena and Joshua Williams. Shari’s daughter Brianna Ellis, her husband Derrick and 3 great-great grandchildren, Braxton, Freyja, and Alora live in Lexington and Abbi resides with her spouse, Hunter Tingle in Sumter.

Special nieces and nephews and their families live near and far, but all adored this amazing woman.

A member of Bethel Baptist Church for more than 75 years, she served Bethel faithfully through her presence, gifts of time and participation in every way imaginable. She was the leader of many activities, including Senior Leaders of Bethel. She taught the Ruth Sunday School class for more than 60 years. She was a leader in the Bethel WMU for at least 64 years, Director of the Girls Auxiliary, also teaching bible school each summer, always sharing her love of the Lord. Her special projects were work for missions locally and around the world. She was an active member of the Santee Baptist Association WMU with a special mission supporting The Connie Maxwell Children’s Home in Greenwood. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Entertaining, cooking, doing for others and always remembering everyone she loved throughout the year with her famous cards were just a few of her passions. When we left her home on Monday to go to the doctor, there was an addressed card waiting to be mailed. It has been mailed to a lucky loved one.

Honorary Pallbearers will be The Bethel Baptist WMU, Women on Missions and Prayer Group and The Ruth Sunday School Class. Her nephews will serve as Pallbearers. They are Tommy Smith, Russ Pritchard, Al Pritchard, Myron Pritchard, Ben Barkley, Wesley Wilson, William McLeod, and David Crockett.
