Obituary for Pearl E. Welch (Windham)

Pearl E. Welch, 86, wife of V. Donald Welch, died Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Prisma Health Richland.

Born October 15, 1935, in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Harmon Buddy Windham and the late Fannie Blackmon Windham. She was a member of New Testament Lighthouse Church and retired from Campbell Soup Company.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years; three daughters, Patricia Ann Nelson of Sumter, Barbara Ann Williams of Manning, and Debbie Ann Carraway (Dale DuBose) of Sumter; eight grandchildren, Chrystal Owens, Matthew Nelson, Anthony Nelson, Casey Bryan, Candice Carraway, Kaitlyn Carraway, D.J. Carraway, and Brandi Huggins; 21 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Miriam Baker, Kathy Sharpe, Betsy Tauzin, and Pat Fletcher; and a brother, Dexter Windham.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Harmon Windham, David Windham, Thomas Windham, Billy Windham, and Jerry Windham.

A funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mary Watford and the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dale DuBose, Jessie Baker, D.J. Carraway, Matthew Nelson, Anthony Nelson, and Jamie Bryan.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
