Shirley Richardson Rouse, 50, wife of Roosevelt Rouse, died Monday, October 10, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born December 10, 1971, in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Nancy Richardson. She worked with Santee-Wateree RTA for several years and later as a bus driver for the Sumter School District. Mrs. Rouse was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses – North Congregation.
Survivors in addition to her husband of 34 years include her two children, Rodderick Rouse (Kimberly), and Alexandria Rouse; two step-children, Roosevelt McKnight and Rochelle McKnight; three grandchildren, D’Ryus Lindsay, Imora Washington, and Jonathan Rouse; fifteen step-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael Richardson (Brook), and Randy Richardson; and a host of other extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends at the home of Martha Sarvis, 114 Gayle Street.
