Obituary for William Howard "Billy" Fields
William Howard “Billy” Fields, 62, died Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born December 5, 1959, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Hamer Alexander Fields and the late Mary Lou Boykin Fields. He retired from Walker Automotive Service.
Survivors include his aunts, Louise Kinlaw (John) and Miriam Fields all of Bishopville; dear friend and caregiver, Brenda Cockerill; special cousin and caregiver, Gail Norris (Kenny) of Sumter, cousins, Ricky Carter of Sumter, Patricia Boykin Brown (Carl) of Orangeburg, and Susie Boykin Klavon (Mike Ward) of New Ellenton, SC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William T. Boykin and Mamie Irick Boykin, and paternal grandparents, T. Howard Fields and Annie Parnell Fields.
A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. Friday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Prisma Health Tuomey Home Health.
