Obituary for Lue Lee Dingle
Sumter, SC
Luelee Dingle, age 84, loving mother of five children, passed away during the late hours of Thursday May 12, 2022, after a brief illness.
Luelee was born on October 28, 1937, in South Carolina, and grew up around a large family. She had 15 brothers and sisters. During her early years, Luelee was employed for several years in dry cleaning and assembly work for the Air Force in New York. Upon her return to South Carolina, she also worked for the Campbell Soup Company and domestic work as needed. Some of her favorite things to do were cooking, listening to the news, and reading the newspaper was her thing as well. She definitely stayed on top of the news.
She will be greatly missed by her family and children; Linda "Diane" Dingle of Tucson Arizona, Darlene and Jereme China of Sumter, Johnny and Genever Ellerbe of Sumter, and Corey Dingle Sumter; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Dennis.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on Friday May 20 at 1:00, at Elmore Cannon- Stephens Funeral Home, 515 Miller Road Sumter, SC. 29150.
