Obituary for Lawrence Morgan "Puddin" Geddings
Lawrence Morgan “Puddin” Geddings, 79, widower of the late Frankie Talbert Geddings, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at his residence.
Born August 27,1942, in Horry County, SC, he was a son of the late Newton Lawrence Geddings and the late Thelma Cameron Geddings Nichols. Mr. Geddings was a member of Green Acres Assembly of God. He was always willing to talk to anyone about his love for Jesus and how He saved him. He was a retired truck driver from Blue Ridge Trucking Company. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include four daughters, Cheryl Atkinson of the home, Rae Burke (Randy) of Dalzell, Jackie Anderson (Ronnie) of Sumter, and Sharon Collins (Scott) of Pamplico; eight grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews all of whom he loved dearly; and a brother, Pete Geddings (Susan) of Florida.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Carla Geddings and Sheila Geddings; and a sister, Liz Coleman.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Green Acres Assembly of God with the Rev. Michael Bowman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1 P.M. Saturday at Green Acres Assembly of God and other times at the home, 1417 Camden Rd.
If you would like to honor Lawrence, memorials may be made in his name to the Royal Rangers Fund at Green Acres Assembly of God, 537 Lewis Rd., Sumter, SC 29154.
