Obituary for William Walter "Walt" Wheeler
William Walter “Walt” Wheeler, 95, widower of Janet Olsen Wheeler, died Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Morningside.
Born June 27, 1925, in the Home Branch community of Clarendon County, he was a son of the late William Walter Wheeler and the late Sally Bryant Wheeler. He retired from Colonial Foods and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son, Richard D. Wheeler (Dani) of Sumter; three grandchildren, Will Wheeler (Keyes) of Bishopville, Ashleigh Newsome (Will) of Hartsville, and Kenton Wheeler (Casey) of Sumter; and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Walter “Bill” Wheeler, Jr.
Services will be private.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
