Obituary for Elma Watts Prescott

Elma Watts Prescott, 90, widow of S.W. Prescott, Jr., died Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the home of her son.

Born November 15, 1930, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Edmund B. Watts, Sr. and the late Annie Bell Robinson Watts. She was a member of Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church. She retired from Pioneer Ltd.

Survivors include three children, Terry Prescott (Anne), Larry Prescott (Janet), and Mark Prescott (Miriam); grandchildren, Lori Branch, Pauline Pastuszka (Tom), Sammy Prescott (Ryan), Rhonda Prescott, and Matthew Prescott; great-grandchildren, Angelique Syed (Abdul), Amber Hardy, Landon Prescott, and Anna Gail Prescott; brother, Wyman Watts (Grace); sisters, Sarah Bell Turner (Ken), , Libby Moore (J.H.), and Patsy Aburn (Bill); sisters-in-law, Ruby Watts, Joyce Watts, and Uldine Watts; brother-in-law, Bruce Buddin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son; brothers, Bob Watts (Louise), Othell Watts (Mary Lou), James Watts (Gertie), E.B. Watts, Jr., Franklin Watts, and John Milton Watts; and sisters, Lorena Nesbitt (Carlyle), Mildred Green (Euston), and Gladys Buddin.

A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday in the Brunson Cemetery with the Rev. Nancy Reed officiating. Attendees are requested to observe COVID0-19 guidelines.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Buddin, Gene Watts, Gerald Watts, Rusty Green, Hal Watts, and Roger Nesbitt.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Carmilla Spann and MSA Hospice for all of their loving care and compassion.
