Obituary for Catherine Lackey Craft (Hudson)
Catherine Lackey Craft, 81, wife of Thomas J. Craft, died Monday, July 6, 2020, at her home.
Born October 30, 1938, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late John David “Bozie” Hudson and the late Susie Atkins Hudson Bochette. She was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene and retired from Campbell Soup Company after 20 years of service.
Survivors include her husband of 19 years; a son, David McLeod Lackey of MI; two step-daughters, Pamela Jenwien (Vernon) of MI and Tamela Jean Craft of CA; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Jessie Hudson(Vivian), Tommy Hudson (Chris), and Mike Bochette (Sherrie); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Nathan Hudson, Herbert Hudson, Sr., Butch Bochette, John David Hudson, Jr., Leatha Truett, Susan Robinson, Rosa Lee Maslanko, and Henrietta Smith.
A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in the Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene, 302 N. Wise Dr., Sumter, SC 29150.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
