Obituary for Larry Donald Chase Sr.
Larry Donald Chase, Sr., 59, husband of Teresa A. Chase, died Friday, June 12, 2020 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born December 18, 1960, in Sumter, he was a son of Benjamin “Ben” W. Chase and Alice Benenhaley Chase. He was a Technical Training and Development Manager with Subaru of America until his retirement in 2017. He also worked as an independent investigator for Bosch Corp. USA. He enjoyed working in his garden and tending to his farmland.
Survivors in addition to his wife of nearly 31 years of Pinewood, and parents of Dalzell include two daughters, Jessica Gainey (Scott) and Lyndsey Chase (Scott) both of New Jersey; one son, Larry D. “Donnie” Chase, Jr. (fiancé, Blakeney Coleman) of Loris; five grandchildren, Abigail, Dylan, Kyle, Brooke, and Kelsey; one sister, Renee Pridgen (Tim) of Greenwood; one brother, Chip Chase (Brenda) of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Springbank Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery,
A public viewing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
