Obituary for Doris Jean Seckel (Rutan)
Doris Jean Rutan Seckel, 80, widow of Arthur Seckel, died Thursday, May 28, 2020, at her home.
Born February 15, 1940, in Akron, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Walter Rutan and the late Sarah Margaret Rowan Rutan.
Survivors include her children, Mike, John, Debra, Nancy, Holly, and Brian; grandchildren, Ericka, Michael, Heather, Brandon, David, Daniel, Kevin, Ayla, Markie, and Katie; great-grandchildren, Makel, Paul, Bradley, Drew, Paisley, Josh, Nolan, Persephone, Aires, Dean and Chandler; and a sister, Beulah.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mark.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 A.M. Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home followed by a celebration of life at the home of her granddaughter, Ericka Lowder, 4830 Queen Chapel Rd.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
