Obituary for Lillian Davis Vedder
Lillian Davis Vedder, widow of Sanford E. “Sam” Vedder, passed away on May 4, 2020 into the arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
Born April 13, 1932 in Cleveland, TN, she was a daughter of the late H. Coleman Davis and the late Dossie Caldwell Davis. She was a faithful member of Holy Comforter Anglican Church.
She is survived by her children and spouses: Mark and Cindy Hall of TN, Joe and Linda Hall of PA, Mickey and Beth (Hall) Fordham of SC, Anne McCulley of TX, Craig and Sherry (Hall) Hagstrom of WA, Ken and Maureen Vedder of IL, and Dan and Wendy (Vedder) Kjeldbjerg of IL. Grandchildren include Scott and Lindsay (Hall) Dunn, Ben Fordham and Lisa Renslow, Grant and Sara Fordham, Jordan and Abby Vedder, Hanna, Laina and Elly Kjedbjerg, and an infant great granddaughter, CarterAnn Fordham.
Mrs. Vedder was a lively person, well-loved by her many friends and family. She especially doted on her grandchildren. She loved her church, family and friends, and loved to play bridge. Many will remember her quick wit and generous giving spirit.
Due to current circumstances, the family will announce plans for a memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mrs. Vedder’s memory to the Church of the Holy Comforter, 213 N. Main St., Sumter, SC 29150
