Obituary for Dorothy Harvin "Dotsy" Felder

Dorothy “Dotsy” Harvin Felder, 77, widow of James “Jimmy” Chandler Felder, Jr., died Saturday, March 14, 2020, at NHC Healthcare.

Born December 1, 1942, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late John Conyers Harvin, Sr. and the late Nellie Sue Hook Harvin. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Pilot Club. Mrs. Felder retired from Santee-Wateree Mental Health Center.

Survivors include two children, Susan “Mimi” Felder Mixon (Dwight) of Sumter and James Chandler “Jimmy” Felder, III (Elizabeth) of Clemson; four grandchildren, Ashleigh Sharon Mixon, Kaylee Grace Mixon, James Chandler Felder, IV, and Mary Walker Felder; and a brother, John C. Harvin, Jr. of Sumter; a nephew, Chip Harvin (Carla); and a niece, Tammy Harvin.

A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Dwight and Mimi Mixon, 2010 Plowden Mill Rd.
