Stephen Preston Biering, III, 24, died Saturday, February 15, 2020, at his home.
Born October 30, 1995, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Glenn Currier and the late Sunny Biering. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had served in Afghanistan. He was employed by Giant Resource Recovery.
Survivors include a son, Bentley Carson and his mother, Chelsea Carson; a sister, Amber Toolen (Jim); stepfather, James Young; maternal grandfather, Stephen P. Biering, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Art and Anne Currier; and two nephews, L.J. Toolen and Benjamin Toolen; and Reanna Biering.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home followed by the rendering of military honors.
