Obituary for Sara Katherine Eron (Partin)

Sara Katherine Partin Eron, 74, died Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born May 31, 1945, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Hazel J. Partin and the late Sarah Brown Partin. She was the owner of Sara’s Café. She enjoyed cooking, and caring for and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two children, Richard A. Eron, II (Tara) of Dalzell and Catherine “Marci” Eron of Sumter; four grandchildren, Carson, Carrington, Cameron, and Tori (Chris); two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Nicholas; four brothers, Julian Partin of Sumter, Wayne Partin (Anne) of Charleston, Norman Partin (Barbara), and Mickey Partin of both Sumter; a sister, Helen Partin of Sumter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death in by five brothers, James H. “Jim” Partin, Charles C. Partin, Robert L. “Bobby” Partin, Herman Partin, and Lewis Partin; and a sister, Betty P. Etheredge.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with Mr. Wayne McElveen officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Norman and Barbara Partin, 4879 Wedgelake Drive.
