Obituary for LeRoy D. "Bud" Hancock Sr.
LeRoy D. “Bud” Hancock, Sr., 89, husband of the late Annette Ross Hancock, died Thursday, December 26, 2019, at The Blake at Woodcreek Farms in Columbia.
Born November 4, 1930, in St. Charles, SC, he was a son of the late LeRoy D. Hancock and the late Emma Amerson Bradham. He was a member of First Southern Methodist Church and also attended Providence Southern Methodist Church. He was employed by Southern Coatings and Sherwin-Williams for more than 30 years.
Survivors include three children, Elaine Hancock Rowell (Bill) of Blythewood, LeRoy “Roy” Dewey Hancock, Jr. (Jere) of Sumter, and Russell Ross Hancock of Lugoff; six grandchildren, Jennifer Dagenhart (Danny), Will Rowell (Grace), Rebecca Munger (Chris), Beth White (Jeramy), LeRoy D. Hancock, III (Kelli), and Alyece Varner (Patrick); and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday in the Providence Southern Methodist Church Cemetery on Red Lane Rd., Dalzell.
The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
