Theodore “Ted” Walker, 74, husband of the late Sherry E. Walker, died Friday, December 20, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born January 11, 1945, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Frank Walker and the late Ival McClard Walker. He was raised by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wilbert McClard. He was a member of Green Acres Assembly of God. Mr. Walker was the owner of Ted Walker Fencing, and Carolina Decking, Underpinning, and Remodeling.

Survivors include three daughters, Melisa Ward (Barry), Melinda Walker, and Marlana Walker all of Sumter; ten grandchildren, Austin Ward, Aaron Ward, Ashley Ward, Devin Yarborough, Tyler Randall, Billy Walker, Jr., Johnny Walker, William Walker, Samantha Watford, and Joseph Walker; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Walker.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the Green Acres Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 P.M. Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
