Obituary for Mollie Nesbitt Moore

Mollie Nesbitt Moore, 86, widow of William O. “Billy” Moore, died Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at her home.

Born May 23, 1933, in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Wilson McCoy “Coy” Nesbitt and the late Lizzie Pierce Nesbitt. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and retired from the Lee County Courthouse.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Calbert Johnson; a niece, Susie Chavis; and nephews, Andy Caughman and Bill Johnson (Lisa) all of Bishopville.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Hughie Nesbitt, Kathryn Caughman, Mildred Nesbitt, and Carol Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Friday at St. Luke United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Ridenhour officiating. Burial will be in the St. Luke Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 P.M. Friday at St. Luke United Methodist Church.
