Jack Gary Scarborough, 69, husband of Pat West Watts Scarborough, died Monday, October 28, 2019, at his home.
Born September 6, 1950, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Jack Scarborough and the late Doris Wilson Crooke. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years; four children, Philip Scarborough of Columbia, Brian Scarborough of Charlotte, NC, Christy Watts McLeod (Jason) of Sumter, and Kayla Watts of Columbia; three grandchildren, Cody Jack Scarborough of Charlotte, NC, and William McLeod and Harper McLeod both of Sumter; two brothers, Greg Scarborough (Gail) of Sumter and Ronnie Scarborough of Charleston; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Howell.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 12 Noon Thursday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Carl Lavender officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 12 Noon Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
