Obituary for Auther Dingle

Auther Dingle, 72, died Friday, August 30, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born December 13, 1946, in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Harry Mahoney,
Sr. and the late Luegenia Martin Mahoney. He worked as a farmer, construction worker, and mechanic.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his companion, Ms. Brenda Tomlin of the home; a son, Windell “Larry” Samuel (Mary) and his mother, Clarabell Calliste, both of Timmonsville; a sister, Eula “Lue Lee” Dingle of Sumter; two step-sisters, Mozell Lampkin of Winston-Salem, NC, and Rosetta “Tea” Rogers of Bishopville; two brothers, Marion Dingle of Sumter and Harry Lee Mahoney, Jr. of Mayesville; two grandsons, Demetrius McFadden of Sumter, and Michael Anderson of Timmonsville; two great-grandchildren, Dimiyah McFadden and Jeremiah McFadden both of Sumter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and special friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Eliza Lemmon.

A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, September 7, 2019 in the
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel.

The family will be receiving friends at 444 E. Charlotte Ave.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the
arrangements.
