Obituary for James Leon Holladay

James Leon Holladay, 78, widower of Sandra Jean Tisdale Holladay, died Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Wellmore Senior Living in Lexington.

Born September 23, 1940, in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Jake Holladay and the late Sara Catherine Scurry Holladay. He was reared by the late Junious Holladay and the late Vera Scurry Holladay. He was a member of Graham Baptist Church and retired as the plant manager of Oxford Drapery Company.

Survivors include a daughter, Sara Camille Howle (Murry B. Howle, Jr.) of Lexington; two granddaughters, Sara Grace Howle and Katherine Mae Howle; and two sisters, Mary Carolyn Williams (the late C. Reid Williams, Jr.) of Fayetteville, GA and Sarah Jeanette Hudson (Fred) of Sumter.

Funeral services will be held 3 P.M. Sunday at Graham Baptist Church with the Rev. John Patrick and the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be W.T. Brogdon, C.W. Brunson, Myron Somerset, Freddie Hudson, Andy Grooms, and Mark Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Men’s Bible Class of Graham Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
