Obituary for Mary Alice Price
Mary Alice Price, 72, died Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at NHC Healthcare in Sumter.
Born November 30, 1946, in Sumter she was the daughter of the late Clarence Welch and the late Margie Welch Barwick. She retired from the food service industry and Piggly-Wiggly. Mary loved life to the very fullest. Being the Strong Willed woman that she was, she taught her children to never give up on what God has planned for your life. She was indeed a fighter for life and a mentor of that to her family.
Survivors include four children, April Ireland (Kevin), Sheri Green, and Wade Green all of Sumter, and Matthew Green of Texas; 10 grandchildren, Jamie Dowell, Amber Beaty, Layken Heideman, Morgan Heideman, Joshua Evans, Mark Green, Jackson Green, Blake Green, Camden Green and Merrick Green; and 4 great grandchildren, Annabelle Dowell, Lexi Heideman, Gray Heideman, Ava Hayes Evans and Harper Grace Blackmon.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Green Heideman; and a brother, Livingston “Butch” Welch.
A private graveside service was held at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
