Obituary for Carson W "C.W." Boykin Jr.
Carson W. “C.W.” Boykin, Jr., 73, husband of Linda Melton Boykin, died Friday, July 19, 2019, at his home.
Born November 8, 1945, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Carson W. Boykin, Sr. and the late Lillie Mae Dority Butler. He was a retired truck driver and construction worker. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; children, Mark A. Boykin (Paula) of Covington, LA, Christy L. Boykin Davis (Allen) of Summerville, and David W. Boykin (Valerie) of Haymarket, VA; three grandchildren, Vivian Boykin, Caroline Davis, and Caleb Boykin; a sister, Sarah Tanner of Sumter; two brothers, Billy DiAngelo of Sumter and Steve DiAngelo of DE; and his step-mother, Mildred Stewart of Sumter.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Boykin Lucas; and a brother, Carmen DiAngelo.
A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in the Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Nathaniel Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
