Obituary for Lois Tomlinson Cromer

Lois Tomlinson Cromer, 95, widow of Proctor “Proc” A. Cromer, died Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Covenant Place.

Born August 29, 1923, in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Tomlinson and the late Mary Hinson Tomlinson. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Procter A. “Berry” Cromer, Jr. (Elaine) of Manassas, VA, Charles S. Cromer of Florence, and Michael E. Cromer (Sylvia) of Woodruff; six grandchildren, Keri Gainey, Teresa Sims, Michael Cromer, Jr., Joshua Cromer, Sarah Cromer, and Meagan Cromer; a great-grandchild, Peyton Sims; and a brother, Keith Tomlinson (Jean) of Paw Paw, WVA.

She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Massey officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
