Obituary for Benson DuVon Herrington
Benson DuVon Herrington, 52, husband of Pamela F. Herrington, died Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia.
Born August 5, 1966, in Sumter, he was a son of the late James Benson Herrington and the late Brenda Garrington Herrington. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Alcolu; three step-children, Britney Hendrix, Roger Cox, Jr. (Chelsea), and Taylor Cox; four grandchildren, Michael, Mason, Matthew, and Annsleigh; a sister, Lisa Avins (Daren) of Sumter; two nieces, Laken Austin and Kelsie Austin; and a great-niece, Braidyn.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Vic VanRas officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dow Brown, Chris Pappas, Daniel Pappas, Matthew McCoy, Brentley Wilson, and Roger Cox, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 3350 Bart Davis Rd.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
