Obituary for Valeria H "Vickie" Ford
Valeria “Vickie” H. Ford, 57, wife of Clinton Karl Ford, died Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Lexington Medical Center.
Born September 5, 1961, in Sumter, she was a daughter of Patricia Gantt Holladay and the late Sam Holladay. She was a member of Sumter First Church of God.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years; mother of Pinewood; two children, Jessica Ford McGee (Brad) of Manning and Christopher Karl Ford (Amber) of Sumter; four grandchildren, Lanie McGee, Peyton McGee, Brayden Ford, and Clint Ford; a sister, Terry Switzer (Fletcher) of Columbia; two brothers, Robert Holladay and Paul Holladay (Wendy) all of Sumter; sister-in-law, Wendi Bowman of Sumter; nephews, William Chase Goins (Jessica) and Sam Switzer; and nieces, Courtney Hurst, Candice Welch, Janna Brunson, and Darrianne Bennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ron Bower officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery.
Members of the Sumter Fire Department will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.
