Obituary for Kimberly Rae Jewell

Kimberly Rae Jewell, 22, died Thursday, April 18, 2019, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Born February 18, 1997, in Sumter, she was a daughter of Bobby G. Jewell, Jr. and Beverly Benenhaley LeBlanc.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Bobby LeBlanc of Dalzell; father and step-mother, Sandra Carraway Jewell of Sumter; siblings, Rebecca Griffin (Keith), Bobby G. Jewell, III, and Emily F. Jewell; maternal grandmother, Shirley Simons of Lugoff; paternal grandmother, Belinda Jewell Simmons of Asheville, NC; grandparents, Calvin Carraway, Sr. and Bobby Jean Carraway of Sumter; fiancé, Jerry Benenhaley; eight uncles, nine aunts; a special nephew; and a host of cousins.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Bob Jewell, Sr., Georgianna Jewell, Luther R. Benenhaley, Jr., Mary Beck, and Archie Simons.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Brian Magaw officiating. Burial will be in the Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Benenhaley, Randy Lane, Wesley Jewell, Zachary Porter, David Benenhaley, Jr., and Keith Griffin.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
