Obituary for Arthur C "Charlie" Scoggins
Arthur C. ”Charlie” Scoggins, 85, husband of Kathryn J. Scoggins, died Friday, March 15, 2019, at his home.
Born September 30, 1933, in Washington, GA, he was a son of the late Arthur C. Scoggins and the late Susie Beatrice Corbert Scoggins. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 26 years of service and was a Vietnam War veteran. He also retired from Cooper Tools.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years; three children, Kristi Jones (Tim) of Sumter, Jimmy Scoggins (Tracy) of CA, and Lori Magazin (Bill) of UT; six grandchildren, Brennan Jones, Landon Jones, Peter Scoggins, Rachel Scoggins, Tom Magazin (Amber), and Sarah Yannetta (Chris); two great-grandchildren, Madeline Yannetta and Everly Yannetta; a sister, Susie Brenizer; and a brother, Fred Scoggins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Tyler Scoggins.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday in the Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
