Obituary for Henry B "Bill" Hodge Jr.
Henry B. “Bill” “Papa” Hodge, Jr., 62, husband of Gwen Hodge, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019.
Born June 18, 1956, in Charleston, he was a son of the late Henry B. Hodge, Sr. and the late Bobby Jean Bowen Hodge. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was employed by Nova Molecular.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years; three children, Deborah Jean Hodge Confer (Gregory) of California; Henry B. Hodge, III (Tiffany) of Sumter, and Mary Ann Hodge of Sumter; eleven grandchildren, Devin Hodge, Chase Hodge, Alexis Hodge, Samantha Hodge, Aaron Hodge, Gabriella Hodge, Bethany Hodge, Daniel Hodge, Zalen Confer, Jasmine Hodge, and Jaxon Hodge; a great-grandchild, Layla Jean Hodge; four sisters, Ruth Barwick, Pat Taylor (Charles), Cindy Windham (Carl), and Annie Judy; and a sister-in-law, Angie Hodge.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Gage Hodge; a brother, Donnie Hodge; and a brother-in-law, D.J. Judy.
A funeral service will be held at 4 P.M. Saturday at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Leroy Burke and Assistant Minister Wayne McElveen officiating.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 P.M. Saturday at Providence Baptist Church and other times at the home.
