Michael Allen Whitaker, 33, died Monday, October 1, 2018 at his home.

Born March 7, 1985, in Manning, he was a son of Michael Anthony Whitaker, Sr. and Tammy Patterson Whitaker.

Survivors include his parents of Sumter; a daughter, Peyton Whitaker of Sumter; two brothers, Joey Anthony Whitaker (Alyssa) and Michael Anthony Whitaker, Jr. (Leanna) both of Sumter; one sister, Christie Whitaker Epting of Sumter; maternal grandparents, Bryan Fronabarger of Sumter, and Helen Patterson of Texas; four nieces and nephews, Ryan Epting, JJ Whitaker, Zoey Whitaker, and Micah Whitaker.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edsel V. Whitaker, Sr. and Mima Joy Whitaker; maternal grandparents, Donald Patterson and Dora Fronabarger; and two uncles, Jay Eric Whitaker and Peter L. Whitaker, Sr.

Services will be private.
