Walter Ronald Straw, 76, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his home.

Born May 7, 1941, in Cherry Corners, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Gerald Straw and the late Pearl Knepp Straw. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and retired from Warren General Hospital after 34 years of service.

Survivors include a brother, Roy T. Straw (Emma) of East Jordan, Michigan; five sisters, Rose A. Kothera (Gary) of Sumter, M. Louise Atwood (Morrell) of Lake City, Florida,
M. Joan Sly of Eustis, Florida, Patti A. Beam (Russell) of Sumter, and B. Terri Pitt (Damon) of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, January 6, 2018, in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Aaron Reed officiating.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
