LaRue M. Medlin, Jr. (US Air Force retired), 62, husband of Rose Hidalgo-Medlin, died Monday, December 25, 2017, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

Born December 11, 1955, in Conway, he was a son of the late Dr. LaRue M. Medlin, Sr. and the late Marie Elizabeth “Betty” Hammond Medlin. He was as member of Christ Community Church and was the owner of Carolina Lock and Key.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years; a son, LaRue Merida Medlin, III (Caitlin) of Bellingham, Massachusetts; a daughter, Autumn; and two sisters, Janet and Connie.

A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mark Yoder officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home.
