Mary Elaine “Mema” Faraon, 76, of Bishopville, entered into eternal rest on December 4, 2017.
She was born on March 27, 1941 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Robertson (Robbie) of Manning, Jeanne Palmer of Sumter, and Skye Faraon of Bishopville; one special daughter, Brenda Brisbon of Bishopville; sisters, Rebecca Crichton of Charleston and Billie Jo Flowers of Burgaw, North Carolina. She had seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; also her beloved pets.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph “Joey” Faraon, Jr; her parents, the late David and Jerry Crichton of Bishopville; her biological father, Jacob Mazur of Wilmington, North Carolina; her maternal grandparents, the late William Edward and Hettie Wash Smith Sanders of Wilmington, North Carolina; and also by her many pets.
Mary was a devoted nursing aide at the Eastern Star Home and National Health Care of Sumter. She was also employed by Becton-Dickinson of Sumter. Mary rescued many pets in her time and had an immense amount of love for them.
A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 P.M. Saturday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
