Annie Merlene Jackson, Nichols, 78, widow of Bill Marshall Nichols, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at her home.
Born November 4, 1939, in Biscoe, NC, she was a daughter of the late Roy Jackson and the late Lillie Mae Stewart Jackson. She was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include two children, Kathie Nichols Creel (Kenny) and Jeffrey Wayne Nichols (Patty); seven grandchildren, Michael Shepard (Jeanne), Savannah Williams (Troy), Jonathan Nichols (Emily), Marshall Nichols (Amanda), Katina Terlip, Stephanie D. Tisdale, and Amanda Creel; five siblings, Julia Mae Jackson Myrick (Bobby), Brenda J. Morris Tew (R.L.), Ronald Jackson (Wanda), James Jackson (Jean), and Mahlon Jackson; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. Friday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Owens officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Kenny and Kathie Creel, 2660 Hodge St.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Keewana Davis, Tylesha Albert, and Dee Stegall for their loving care and compassion.
