Michael Joseph Cipov, 71, husband of Patricia Turner Cipov, died Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Palmetto Health Baptist in Columbia.

Born July 27, 1947, in Chetek, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late Joseph G. Cipov and the late Vila Palmer Cipov. Mr. Cipov served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was co-owner and founder of Cipov Enterprises Inc. until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife of Sumter; one son, John Cipov, Sr. (Michelle) of Wedgefield; one grandson, John Cipov, Jr.; one sister, LuAnn Richardson of Sumter; one brother, Mark Cipov of Elkhart, Indiana; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
