Obituary for Leonard Ray Wright

Leonard Ray Wright, 72, husband of Brenda Glenn Wright, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at McLeod Regional medical Center in Florence.

Born October 28, 1945, in McKinney, Texas, he was a son of the late Curley Wright and the late Margaret Russell Wright. Mr. Wright retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of service and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He also retired from the Department of Defense as a Range Control Officer. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years; two sons, Ritchie Wright of Sumter, and Randy Wright of Harker Heights, Texas; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Wright of Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home with full military honors. Burial will be in the Florence National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service.
