Linda Sue Franks Smith, 73, died Thursday, August 09, 2018 at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee in Florence.

Born June 14, 1945, in Waynesboro, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late J.C. Franks and the late Alta Mae Brown Moore. Ms. Smith retired from MSA Hospice where she worked as a Social Worker.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Sue Vermeer (Brad) of Texas, Laura Gumban (Ernie) of California, and Amy Myers (Greg) of Sumter; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Prescott (Jimmy) of Sumter; two brothers, Troy Moore (Janice) of Sumter, and John Moore (Linda) of Mayesville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Franks.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Eddie Fleming officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
