Sarah Powell Parrott Lee, 102, widow of Weldon O. Parrott and Laverne Lee, died Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at a local nursing facility.

Born in the Hanna community of Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Hedley Powell and the late Catherine Stone Powell.

Survivors include two daughters, Iler Odom (Guy) of Powder Springs, GA and Sarah “Snookie” Roberts of Hemingway; fifteen grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and great–great grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Belle Nettles of Lake City and Eveleen Stone of Pamplico; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Dessie Mae Lightsey and Mary Ella Parrott; one son, James Lewis; and twelve siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
