Obituary for Patricia Yeager Saul

Patricia Yeager Saul, 89, died Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

Born October 2, 1928, in Claremont, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Walter Lee Yeager and the late Dorothy Fern Yeager. She served her country as both an Administrative Secretary for the Department of Defense, as well as being a stay at home mother of 3 and wife of an active duty military husband. She returned to the work force and finished her career working with Sumter School District 17. She was known and will be remembered for loving God, her family, and serving others by volunteering at the school district, her church, and so many other ways. She was an active and faithful member of Crosspoint Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Wendy Simmons of Surfside Beach and Christi Waynick of Sumter; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alan Dwayne Yeager (Evelyn) of California, 2 nieces and a nephew, 7 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Walter James “Wally” Saul; and a son-in-law, Denzil David Simmons, II.

A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday at Crosspoint Baptist Church with the Rev. John Sorrells officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday at Crosspoint Baptist Church.
