Funeral services for Rev. Rodger Dale Broadway, 71, who entered into rest on Sunday, May 6, 2018, will be held at 12 o'clock on Thursday, May 10, 2018, in The Chapel of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The Rev. Duane Stegall and The Rev. Dr. Steve West will officiate with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. A burial will be held at 4:30 pm on Thursday, May 10, 2018, in Paxville Cemetery, Paxville, SC with the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating the graveside service. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is serving the family.

Born in Ashwood, SC, he was a son of the late Thomas W. and Deannie Berry Broadway. He graduated from Manning High School, attended Wingate College, and was a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible College. He had over 35 years of service with Fellowship Baptist Church in Dillon, SC, Ariel Baptist Church in Marion, SC, New Providence Baptist Church in Hartsville, SC, First Baptist Church in Jefferson, SC, Edwards Chapel Baptist Church in Society Hill, SC. His greatest pleasure was serving the Lord.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bea Ardis Broadway of Cheraw, SC; son, Kevin (Julie) Broadway of Indian Trail, NC; daughter, Marie Broadway Mulholland of Sumter, SC; brothers, Wes Broadway of Camden, SC, Mike (Alicia) Broadway of Camden, SC, Andrew (Kimberly) Broadway of Anderson, SC; sisters, Margaret Bowman of Sumter, SC, Julie Bradham of Sumter, SC; grandchildren, Rob (Katie) Cottingham, Savannah (Christopher Jones) Wolfe, Amanda Mulholland, Mary (Aaron Stafford) Mulholland, Emily Mulholland, Karrington Broadway, Jacob Dale Broadway; and his devoted St. Bernard, Hannah. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a doting grandfather.
